Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 21 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy from The Walking Stick Store through this website. Please read them before you order.

Who we are

The Walking Stick Store, 19 Wesley Street, Southport, PR8 1BN. Telephone 01704 542567. Email sales@walkingstickstore.co.uk.

Placing an order

When you place an order, we will email you to confirm that we have received it. Your contract with us starts when we send you a dispatch confirmation. If we cannot supply an item, for example because it is out of stock, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid for it.

Prices and payment

All prices are in pounds sterling. The price you see at checkout, including any delivery charge, is the price you pay. We take payment when you place your order, using the payment methods shown at checkout. We make every effort to get prices right, but if we find a mistake we will contact you before going ahead with your order.

Delivery

We deliver within the UK. Our delivery information page explains delivery costs and what to do if something does not arrive.

Your right to cancel and return items

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have 14 days from receiving your goods to change your mind. We give you longer: you can return most items within 30 days. Our returns and refunds page explains how. The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification, such as a stick we have cut to your length.

Faulty goods

Everything we sell must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If something is faulty, contact us and we will repair, replace or refund it. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights.

Product information

We try to show our products accurately, but colours can look different on different screens. Wooden sticks are natural products, so the grain, colour and exact length vary from stick to stick.

Advice on choosing a stick

We are happy to help you choose, but we are not medical professionals. If you need a walking aid because of an injury or medical condition, please ask your doctor or physiotherapist which type and height is right for you. Dress canes are made for style and are not suitable as a mobility aid.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

Your personal information

We use your details to process and deliver your order. See our privacy policy and cookie policy for details.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please tell us through our contact form so we can put it right.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute, although if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
